Douglas Olson holds a Doctor of Design degree from Harvard University and a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Manitoba. A landscape architect and regional planner with over 25 years experience, Douglas specializes in spatially explicit land use planning and design. He has served as an instructor at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design and is an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Environmental Design at the University of Calgary. He is a member of the Canadian and American Societies of Landscape Architects and the International Association of Landscape Ecology.
Douglas has worked in Africa, Latin America, China, Colombia, Mongolia, and Slovenia, as well as throughout the United States and Canada. He is experienced in policy development and all phases of planning and design, from project concept development through to detailed implementation. As President of O2, Douglas directs the firm’s work in landscape architecture, planning, urban design,landscape ecology, and spatial modelling.
