Since the 19th century, Lake Louise has long been a multi-season destination for visitors worldwide. The pristine and awe-inspiring scenery of the area coupled with the iconic Chateau Lake Louise has been a continuous source of pride for residents in the Park.

The Lake Louise Village Entry project required the careful design and celebration of the entry into Lake Louise Village, which acts as a gateway to this valuable National resource, and to the community of Lake Louise itself. The design of a new entry at Lake Louise Drive and intersection at Village Road offer significant opportunities to celebrate the historical and ecological features of the community, Lake Louise, and the National parks.

One of the key objectives of this project was to provide an optimum solution for the entry into Lake Louise that strikes a balance between enhancing the beauty, history, and vibrancy of the community and its context with functional demands, significant traffic, and visitors throughout all seasons.

The project provides Lake Louise Village a stronger sense of entry, orientation, and arrival to the community that conveys the character of the village and landscape as well as provides clear pedestrian and vehicular pathways to amenities and the community at large.
