Andrew Bjorn holds a Doctorate in Urban Design and Planning and Urban Ecology from the University of Washington, a Master of Science in Planning with a focus in Environmental Planning from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering. He has developed major publications and presentations on food security, environmental life-cycle assessment, urban forest function, Canadian climate change policy, and brownfield redevelopment.

Prior to joining O2, Andrew instructed at the Department of Urban Design and Planning at the University of Washington and consulted on a number of planning projects, including urban landscape pattern projects. Additionally, Andrew worked as an editor on a planning publication devoted to examining emerging issues in planning and outlining future research needs. His work with O2 includes providing environmental planning expertise and analytical and descriptive writing development.
