Principal, Civil Engineer

Edmund Li holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Calgary and is a professional engineer with project experience in Alberta, British Columbia, Tanzania and Hong Kong. Additionally, he is a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) and the Director for the Alberta CPESC chapter. Edmund has extensive experience in water resources, municipal building, and civil engineering projects.

Prior to joining O2 as the principal responsible for the firm’s civil engineering services, Edmund operated his own consulting firm for 13 years. He has a comprehensive design background with experience in structural design, earthwork design, hydraulic analysis and design, stormwater management facilities design, erosion control management, and bioengineering design. Edmund is well versed in preparing contract documents and cost estimates, construction supervision and inspection for projects including irrigation canal and hydraulic control structures, river intakes, shoreline restoration, storm and sanitary trunk projects, spillways, dam and reservoir, waste water storage pond, landfill site, highways, bridges, oil terminal foundations, airport test embankments, and commercial and residential high-rise buildings.
