Karina Verhoeven

Associate, Senior Technical Landscape Architect

Karina Verhoeven holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of British Columbia. A licensed landscape architect and LEED Accredited Professional, she has participated as a subcommittee member on the California Landscape Architects Technical Committee, and has facilitated Landscape Architects Registration Exam workshops in Sacramento and Calgary. Karina is also a part-time student in the Studio Arts Extended Studies program at the Alberta College of Art and Design.

Karina has worked on a wide range of projects in Oregon, California, and Alberta. Her project portfolio includes public and private sector commercial sites, educational facilities, streetscapes, regional and local parks, and mountain recreational sites. She is interested in adapting green technologies to the Alberta environment, and has incorporated green roofs, bioswales, xeriscaping, and other low impact development measures into her past projects. She has extensive experience in all aspects of project development, including conceptual design, site planning, project management, production of construction documents, and graphic presentation of drawings, maps, and other information. Karina is also experienced in public consultation and on-site construction review.
