Location Calgary | Alberta | Canada

Haskayne Legacy Park is located at the northwestern edge of The City of Calgary and is owned by The City of Calgary Parks. The Park boundary is comprised of three parcels of land encompassing approximately 160 hectares. The City acquired the land with the vision of creating another major regional park along the Bow River and with the goal of preserving the area’s important natural features, meanwhile providing a range of active and passive recreation activities for Calgary area residents.

The Park is adjacent to the Bearspaw Reservoir / Bow River to the west and south, while the Calgary Municipal Boundary and Rocky View County bound the Park to the northeast and east. The northwest boundary of the park abuts Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park, which protects 14 km of the Bow River and Bearspaw Reservoir’s banks, and approximately 1,300 hectares of wetlands, native grasslands, rolling hills, wooded areas, and trails. O2’s goal is to create a continuous and integrated greenway along the Bearspaw Reservoir. Haskayne Legacy Park will provide a key connection to the regional pathway system and the Trans-Canada Trail that will connect the City of Calgary to Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park and the Town of Cochrane.
