Chris Hardwicke

Principal, Urban Design

Chris is a Registered Professional Planner and an Urban Designer with over 14 years of experience. He is a Fellow of the Urban Design Institute in New York, a Recognized Practitioner in Urban Design in the UK and a member of the Council for Canadian Urbanism. Chris has managed planning studies that include community design, urban design guidelines, campus plans, feasibility studies, transit oriented design, complete streets, wayfinding, place branding, corridor studies, urban quality assessments and implementation strategies.

Chris is also an accomplished facilitator, public consultation coordinator and speaker, as well as a sessional lecturer in the Masters of Urban Design program at the University of Toronto. He is a member of the Downsview Park Design Review Panel and the steering committee of the Toronto Centre for Active Transportation. His commitment to city building is internationally recognized through numerous award winning projects.
