Achim holds an undergraduate degree in landscape architecture from the University of Georgia and a master's degree in Business Administration from The Hague University.
Achim brings broad international practice experience attained while employed as a designer in the United States, the Netherlands and China. His project experience ranges from small-scaled, 900 square-metre hospital courtyards that included the custom design of light features to a large 260-acre urban expansion area where he completed the initial urban design layout for the site. He also has extensive experience and enjoys the process of collaborating with colleagues and liaising with clients, allied consultants and user groups to achieve the best possible design outcome for every project. As a design practitioner, Achim is particularly interested in the aesthetic and the experiential dimensions of space-making that are based on a solid foundation of ecological and functional parameters.
