Kingsland Assisted Living

Location Calgary | Alberta | Canada

O2 Planning + Design worked with Davignon Martin Architecture and Connecting Care to propose both a land use and a development permit application for six parcels in the community of Kingsland. The proposed land use for these sites is a Direct Control District based on M-C2, which will permit a 5-storey senior’s Assisted Living centre. The DC is necessary for the development to obtain a full 5th floor with a maximum building height of 17 metres.

The land use amendment was submitted on February 2, 2018 and on May 3, 2018 the Calgary Planning Commission recommended that Council approve the application. On June 11, 2018 City Council approved this application, resulting in a 4 month approval timeline.
