One York Street and Harbour Plaza

Situated near the foot of York Street, this development and plaza creates one of the most inviting spaces within the heart of the emerging waterfront in Downtown Toronto.

Designed as a large mixed use development, including a 35 storey office tower and two residential condominium towers over 60 storeys, this site brings tremendous density and activity to an already bustling part of the city. The landscape features of One York Street and Harbour Plaza create a human scale refuge to the large tower and podium blocks of the area. The outdoor amenity areas extend beyond the street level and include the 4th and 5th floor, creating a seamless connection to indoor programming. The office tower is currently home to Sunlife Financial and CIBC Mellon. Supporting office and retail uses are directly accessed by the PATH system. The extensive landscape provides significant planting and water features, which are tied together through unique paving design, custom planters, lighting and site furnishings.  

O2 (Toronto team, previously NAK Design Group) led the design and construction of the landscape for One York Street and Harbour Plaza, including the rezoning, SPA and contract administration. In 2018, this project won the Best New Community Built, BILD Award.
